An incomplete medieval cast copper-alloy strap end. The central plate is made up of a circular frame, measuring 22mm in diameter and 11mm on the inside. It is thin and flat in section. There is a moulded slightly pointed knop at one end which has a sub-rectangular collar at the base and two rounded narrowing sections above. Aside from this, both sides are plain and undecorated and on the opposing side to the knop there are two forked prongs which taper outwards diagonally from the frame. One is complete, the other is broken.
