A fragment of a Medieval strap handle for a ceramic vessel (1200-1400).
This fragment is the upper part of the handle which abutted the rim. It is smooth on the upper face and has seven deep grooves on the underside.
This sherd is buff and is tempered with rounded sand. The breaks are old. There is no indication of any glazing.
