Copper alloy buckle fragment. Cast edge from a buckle with separate steel spindle (lost) and with overall moulded decoration of alternating florets and rectangular bosses with an inner cabled edge. The curvature in profile may suggest a function as a shoe buckle. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1720-1790.
