Post Medieval (16th century) knife cap terminal: copper alloy terminal, in plan, is an sideways 'T'. Each face is decorated with a horizontal groove. One terminal has a slot which is filled with traces of an iron tag. The surface of the knife cap is abraded. In length the knife cap is 10.95mm, 16.12mm wide and 6.9mm thick. It weighs 4.7g.
End-caps such as this example are dated to the 16th century (Geake, 2001).
