A Medieval silver voided long cross cut half-penny (AD 1247-1279), Irish issue, probably of Henry III, AD 1216-1272, dating from between AD1247-1254. Mint is Dublin.

Obverse legend reads [.../...]S RE/X[...]. 'REX' is possibly followed by 'ANG' or 'III' lower end of lettering just visible but illegible. Obverse shows forward facing crowned bust, and hand holding sceptre, within a triangle. Reverse legend reads DAV/[I ON/ DIV]ELI. Reverse shows a voided long cross with three pellets per quarter. Die axis is 3 o'clock. Weight is 0.63g, diameter is 18.2mm, thickness 0.8mm.
