A post medieval cast copper alloy toy cannon. The cannon is 100mm in length and measures 31.59mm across the trunnions and 16.68mm across the cascabel. Unfortunately the weight was not recorded. The cannon has a raised band and an incuse groove behind the muzzle, an incuse groove forward of the trunnions, and a touch hole forward of the cascobel. The lower side of the cannon has been impressively torn between the trunnions and the raised band from the force of an accidental explosion.
This cannon is as large as the largest recorded by Egan 2005 (79-84). Dating remains uncertain but in general terms the cannon appears to be of 18th century date.
