A fragment of a Post Medieval copper alloy Buckle of 1500-1600 date. The fragment represents one corner of a rectangular buckle; it is flat in cross section. The rest of the frame and pin bar have been broken away by an old break. The frame is decorated all over the surface with foliate designs and openwork. A similar example can be seen in Whitehead (1996) page 79 ref. 491.
The fragment is 30.5mm long, 18.6mm wide, 2.9mm thick and weighs 4.76 grams.
