An incomplete and worn copper-alloy rectangular zoomorphic mount of Medieval date. It is missing part of the outer edge due to old breaks, now worn.

It is D-shaped in section with a concave back face. At one end is a rectangular projection, which represents the snout. The terminal of the snout is decorated with two diagonal grooves. The front face of the snout is decorated with two pairs of diagonal grooves to represent the eyes. From here the object expands into the main body of the head with a pair of transverse grooves to represent brows. The remainder of the front face is decorated with criss-cross grooves. In the centre of the main body is a circular rivet hole.

This mount measures 13.61mm in length, 10.25mm in width, 3.48mm in thickness, 1.22g in weight.
