Medieval or Post Medieval (14th to 17th centuries) mount: The copper alloy mount is a sub-rectangle in plan, with a rounded terminal and slightly concave sides. The upper surface has moulded decoration in the form of radiating grooves and a trefoil. There are two rivet holes filled with incomplete rivets. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The surface of the mount is abraded with an incomplete green/brown patina. It measures 23.59mm long, 7.71mm wide, 4.04mm thick and weighs 1.1g.
The mount probably dates to the late Medieval to early Post Medieval period based on condition and decoration, 14th to 17th centuries.
