A complete gold 12th or early 13th century finger ring. The hoop is now bent out of shape and measures 24mm by 11.8mm externally and 22.7mm by 8.5mm internally. The hoop is rectangular in cross-section. The bezel of this finger ring is rectangular and sub-pyramidal in shape, measuring 8.7mm in length and 7.5mm in width. In the centre there is an oval shaped setting, 4.4mm in length and 3.1mm in size in which there is a emrald green gem/glass which is damaged slightly on its outer face. At the point where the bezel meets the shoulders of the ring, there is a small band of ridged decoration. The back face of the bezel is flat.
