An oval copper alloy intaglio of possible Roman or origin probably the bezel from a ring. The intaglio is oval in shape with a flat back. The figure carved into the intaglio which is probably glass is of a head facing left with hair or head-dress that appears to be radial. The shoulders are represented by a double edged triangular impression. The possibility remains that it might be post-medieval in date emulating Roman designs.
