A cast copper alloy Roman spoon bowl dating to the period c. AD 43 - 410. The bowl is sub-circular in plan. Projecting from the bowl are the remains of the sub-ovular-section handle which terminates in an old break. The spoon belongs to Sherlock's Group C (David Sherlock, The backs of Roman spoons in Britain. Britannia Vol. 31. (2000), pp. 365-370).
