Post Medieval? copper alloy dress fastener, possibly clothing or clogs? 32mm long, 27mm wide and 1mm thick, with a weight of 4.26 grams.
The object consists of flat sub rectangular, angular plate which has a row of pressed (repousse) domes in a line near its centre. Above this, in a trapezoidal section, is arectangular opening centrally placed. Below the object is triangular and has a small circular fixing hole near its apex.
