Fragment of a medieval copper alloy purse frame, a pendent loop of L- or C-shaped cross-section, both ends broken, one across the terminal loop. There are two attachment holes in the rear and inlaid niello decoration on the convex front. This consists of three parallel oblique lines and two saltires, each formed from a triplet and a pair of grooves. The niello appears a richer green than the surrounding metal.
