A bi-conical lead spindle whorl of uncertain date.
It has a central circular aperture. Both faces have moulded decoration consisting of diagonal lines with dots and crosses in between them.
This spindle whorl measures 31.55mm in diameter, 13.40mm in height, 50.74g in weight.
There is a similar example from Suffolk recorded on the PAS database (SF10844). This is a relatively simple cast lead spindle whorl that could be of any date from the Roman period onwards.
