An incomplete copper alloy Roman plate brooch dating to AD 100-300. The pin is missing as is part of the plate. The brooch is circular with a raised rim then a flat section and a further concentric raised circle which holds a pointed stone (presumably glass). The catchplate and attachment loop are both damaged. Cf Hattatt (1989) A Visual Catalogue of Richard Hattatt's Ancient Brooches p364 no 175.
