Roman copper alloy Aucissa brooch, axis bar and pin missing, the head broken beyond a broad groove, on the flat-backed bow a knurled median rib is flanked by broad shallow concave sides, foot with radial groove on the hemispherical foot-knob, catchplate on reverse. Length 42mm. Width at head 12.5mm. Depth of brooch at bow 26mm. c.43 - c.65.
