A medieval silver-gilt annular brooch dating between 1200 and 1300AD. The section is D-shaped and the back of the brooch is formed from a separate flat section, into which the decorated section has been set. The rim of the brooch has been delicately filed to create a cog wheel effect. The decoration on the front of the brooch is a raised filigree and pellet design of foliage. The pin is complete and is attached to the brooch through a hole pierced through the ring. Very similar to SUSS-9A73C2 (2004 T234) PAS-960287 )(2008T588) and SUR-664262 (2013T489) except that it has a cogged surround to the disc. See also TAR 2004 No. 143 (2004 T137).
