A possible Post Medieval copper alloy furniture fitting, c. 1500-1800. An undiagnostic suspension loop, which has been broken in antiquity. The loop is trapezodial and flat, leading to a transverse groove decoration on an elongated waist, below which is the break; the loop has iron corrosion on the inner edge suggesting that there was a further iron component which is now missing. The back of the loop is flat; the reverse of the waist is concave. It measures 22.2 mm in length, 12.2 mm wide, 4.3 mm think and weighs 2.21 g.
It is similar in style to a Roman pendant, however the hollow reverse surface suggests that it dates to the Post Medieval period.
