A copper alloy Iron Age Colchester (one piece) brooch dating to AD 25-60. The pin and catchplate are missing. The brooch originally comprised two arms at the top (one has broken off). The top of the brooch curls over to form the attachment for the pin. The front of the bow extends down and narrows to a point. Cf Hattatt (1989) A Visual Catalogue of Richard Hattatt's Ancient Brooches p296 no250.
