An incomplete copper-alloy Roman Hod Hill brooch. It is missing the head, axis bar, pin and the catch plate due to old breaks, now worn.

It has a flat, rectangular bow. The front face is decorated with three longitudinal grooves. Either side of the bottom of the bow is the remains oval knop with a D-shaped section. Beneath the head is a tapering triangular foot with a transverse groove at the top. On the back of the foot is the remains of an integrally cast catch plate. There are traces of white metal coating on the front face. The back face is undecorated.
