An incomplete cast copper-alloy strap loop or slide of Post-Medieval date. It is missing part of the lugs due to old breaks, now worn.
It is D-shaped in section with a rounded front and flat back face. There is a central rectangular panel with circular terminals. The front face of the rectangular panel is decorated with three transverse grooves. On the back face are two integrally cast copper-alloy lugs that are flat, rectangular and taper to a point before terminating in old breaks.
This strap fitting measures 23.73mm in length, 8.78mm in width, 2.97mm in thickness, 3.52g in weight.
