An incomplete Medieval to Post-Medieval (1400-1650) copper alloy double oval buckle frame, missing its pin. It measures 25.06x19.70x2.77mm (internal surviving loops c.7x13mm) and weighs 3.54g.
The loops are angled outwards and the central bar is triangular in cross-section (being flat to the underside).
Examples of this type of buckle frame from London (Egan and Pritchard 1991 nos.331 to 342) date from the second half of the fourteenth to the second half of the fifteenth century, but as the form persists a later date cannot be ruled out.
