A copper alloy medieval (AD c.1350-1400) strap loop with an integral rivet. Overall, it measures 15.4mm long, 16.4mm wide and 3.9mm thick. It weighs 1.85g.
The strap loop has a sub-rectangular frame, which is semi-circular in section on one edge and rectangular in section on the other three. The integral rivet projects outward from the centre of one edge of the frame and is roughly oval in section and measures 3.3mm long, 3.4mm wide and 2.6mm thick.
