Incomplete post-medieval copper alloy buckle. Double-oval frame, narrowed bar with projection beyond frame at either end, with openwork quatrefoil in the centre of the surviving outside edge. Pin and outside edge of one loop missing. Measuring (reconstructed) 56 x 29mm. See similar buckles with openwork outside edges on Whitehead (2003, 70, no.437 - 439). 16th - 17th century.
