A worn medieval silver penny of Edward IV (first reign; 1461-70); heavy coinage (1461-4) type IV (Stewartby sub-group iii); mint: Durham (DOnOLI; local dies); Stewartby 2009:334.
This coin lacks the annulets by the bust as described by Stewartby 2009 but the other elements of the coin (spelling on Durham as DOnOLI followed by trefoil, central rose and extra pellet in one quarter) suggest this attribution is correct.
