A cast copper alloy slender vessel leg and integral foot, probably from a skillet or ewer. The leg and foot are sub triangular in cross section with a moulded front and flat back. The apex of the triangular section forms the outside centre of the leg and foot. The leg has a flute either side of a central projecting shin and tapers to a waist at approximately 36mm at which point the flared foot is divided from the leg by a raised 4mm wide moulded collar. The collar is segmented by oblique grooves. The foot has three moulded toes the central one of which aligns with the shin of the leg. There is significant remains of sooting over the whole of the object. The skillets and ewers to which these legs attached were usually of a tripod form and were widely used from circa 1200-1700 AD for serving and cooking. The overall length is 60mm and is 18mm at its widest point across the foot.
