A complete flint notched scraper of Neolithic date (4000-2350 BC). The lithic is sub-rectangular in profile and is plano-convex in section. The dorsal surface retains a large amount of cortex, all edges have been partially flaked in a scaled pattern. All edges contain fine, semi-abrupt retouch. There is a notched/ semi-circular recess in the mesial portion of the left hand edge. The ventral surface is smooth with the exception of a hinged flake removal towards the distal end. The lithic retains some cortex and is therefore a secondary flake.
The flint is a light orange/brown in colour with cream and dark grey inclusions throughout. The cortex is a light brown in colour.
