Possible Medieval (11th to 15th century) unidentified object: The copper alloy object has a looped terminal, which is flat in profile, and has a collar below. The collar is rectangular in section. Below the collar there is a lozenge shaped terminal with a square section which tapers towards a blunt point. This terminal is possibly a broken surface, but it is not a recent break. The surface has a mid green patina with each surface having traces of gilding, with the exception of the broken surface. It measures 23.33 long, 7.19mm wide, 8.08mm thick and weighs 3.8g.
The surface condition and gilding suggest a Medieval date, but the function is unknown.
