A small corroded and sooted copper alloy leg and integral foot probably from a skillet, ewer or small cooking cauldron. The leg is rectangular in plan with a trapezoidal cross section. At about two thirds of its length it angles outwards into a short lingulate shaped foot with a flat base. The vessels to which these legs attached were usually of a tripod form and were widely used from circa 1200-1700 AD for serving and cooking. The object is 42mm long, 20mm at its widest point, and 9mm thick..
