Three probably Medieval ceramic vessel fragments; three wall sherds perhaps dating from about AD 1050 - 1400.
1. Hard, irregular fabric, grey throughout, with frequent poorly sorted angular quartz and grit inclusions. These break the surface giving a rough feel. Probably Gritty Ware or Pimply Ware. 79.7mm long, 40.2mm wide and 6.2mm thick. 21.6g.
2. Hard, laminated fabric, grey throughout, with frequent well sorted angular quartz and grit inclusions. These break the surface giving a rough feel. Probably Gritty Ware or Pimply Ware. 77.5mm long, 44.2mm wide and 9mm thick. 30.63g.
3. Hard, laminated fabric, grey throughout, orange grey outer face, with frequent poorly sorted angular quartz and grit inclusions with some mica. These break the surface giving a rough feel. Probably Gritty Ware or Pimply Ware. 48.5mm long, 46.5mm wide and 6.9mm thick. 21.46g.
