A cast copper-alloy double loop oval spectacle buckle dating to the period c 1350-1650. The pin is missing. The front of the buckle is undecorated with obliquely angled edges along the outside of the frame and on the inside edges of the loops. The strap bar is narrowed and broadly trapezoidal in section. The reverse is flat. The surfaces of the buckle are slightly worn with green patina. Cf Whitehead No 294
