Four pieces of flint debitage; the waste material from flint working.

1. A struck flint chunk of unknown date, probably Mesolithic or Neolithic, about 10,000 BC - 2200 BC. The flint is grey and opaque. It is rectangular in section and sub-triangular in plan. It is a tertiary chunk with many removal scars and some edge damage. 28.1mm long, 21.5mm wide, 11.8mm thick and 5.86g. Also numbered CFA2.

2. A struck flint flake of unknown date, probably Mesolithic or Neolithic, about 10,000 BC - 2200 BC. The flint is translucent and grey brown, with cortex on the left side. It is sub-rectangular in plan and section. The secondary flake has some removals on the right side, possible platform preparation for other removals. 16.2mm long, 12.3mm wide and 3.6mm thick. 0.81g. Also numbered CFA1.

3. A struck flint flake of unknown date, probably Mesolithic or Neolithic, about 10,000 BC - 2200 BC. The flake is patinated to light grey and is opaque and mottled. It is sub-rectangular in plan and D shaped in section. The tertiary flake has removal scars on the dorsal face and a bulb scar on the ventral face. 19.8mm long, 12.1mm wide and 3.8mm thick. 1g. Also numbered CFA4.

4. A chert blade of unknown date, probably Mesolithic or Neolithic, about 10,000 BC - 2200 BC. The stone is grey with darker veins, opaque and matt. It is sub-rectangular in plan, with a pointed distal end, and is trapezoidal in section. It is tertiary and has several long removal scars. 32.9mm long, 14.8mm wide and 6.7mm thick. 3.25g. Also numbeed CFA5a. A striking but natural quartz chip was found close by.
