A flint scraper of probable Neolithic date, about 4000 BC - 2200 BC. It is formed on a piece of dark grey flint, fully patinated to white apart from small areas of later damage at the proximal end. It is invasively worked making it hard to orientate. It is oval in plan and section. Long removals at the proximal end may be platform preparation. Both dorsal and ventral faces have large flake removals. The right side and distal end are retouched with short, sub-parallel abrupt removals, from the dorsal face at the distal end and the ventral face at the proximal right side. This forms a rounded scraper. It is 55.6mm long, 35.9mm wide and 8.6mm thick. 18.6g.
