A rim from a Roman ceramic vessel, a narrow necked bottle, flagon or flask. The rim is almost complete and is 52mm in diameter. It has probably seven corrugations or curved indentations in the side of the rim, of which two survive undamaged. The rim forms and flange with a flat top. The neck of the vessel has an internal diameter of 13.5mm and is circular. The external diameter is about 35mm in diameter. The fabric is hard and fine, a buff to grey colour throughout. It has sparse poorly sorted quartz and stone inclusions with some mica. The surviving sherd is 52mm long, 46mm wide and 29.1mm tall. 49.3g.
