Fragment of a Roman copper alloy armlet dating late 3rd - 4th century. This is a small rectangular fragment of a Roman armlet. It has a slightly concave profile. It is decorated with two sets of parallel lines, with a series of dots running through the middle of each set of lines. One of the longest edges is significantly warn, which could indicate a break. This would suggest that the object was not an armlet, but rather a more cylindrical object.
There are no exact parallels for this style of bracelet, but Nina Crummy states that most copper alloy bracelets date to the late 3rd-4th century (Crummy, 1983, 36).
