A lead alloy unidientified object of probable Post Medieval date, recovered from an area of Civil War activity. It is rectangular in profil and square in section with both ends slightly rounded. It has a well developed creamy patina, similar to the musket balls recovered from the same area. It has been suggested to the finder that it was possibly used as ammunition in case shot fired from cannon (perhaps a form of langridge). Another example has been recorded from the same area: SWYOR-CA94A4. Compare also ESS-3667C6. The object is 32.73mm long, 11.7mm wide and 11.1mm thick. 32.58g.
