Copper alloy thimble. Probably cast thimble with fine machine stamped round indentations over all its remaining wall. The thimble is now open, but a sharp and unworn upper edge may show that a separate domed top has been lost. The sides are heavily worn, the base is frayed, and the object is now lightly squashed. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1800-1900.
Height: 18mm, Thickness (wall, at top): 1.0mm, Width (as found): 22.6mm, Weight: 4.11gms.
