Silver coin. Halfgroat of Henry VIII (1509-1547), kindly suggested by the finder to be an issue of 1532 for Archbishop Wareham, Canterbury mint.

Obverse description: Profile portrait bust right, initial cross pattee. Mintmark possibly pansy (30).

Obverse inscription: HENRICxVIIIxDIGRxA[--]

Reverse description: Shield of Arms of England and France, long cross, W A to either side of shield.

Reverse inscription: CIVI/TAS/CAN/TOR
