A complete lead spindle whorl dating to the medieval period, c. AD 1200 to 1500.
The object is circular in plan with a diameter of 27.62 mm. There is a circular hole through the middle of the object for suspension and the spindle whorl is biconvex in section. On one side there is unclear decoration in the form of lines radiating outwards. The other side has lost some of its patina and so the decoration along with it.
