Late Medieval / early post medieval silver gilt finger ring, 22mm in diameter and 2.5-6mm wide. The object is in fair condition and weighs 3.39grams.
The hoop of the ring has a raised surface which twists diagonally across its surface in a rope effect. One of the raised areas becomes a ridge seperating the bezel into two halves, each side of the bezel has a figure engraved into it, aligned so they face each other. The ring appears to be made from base silver with a gilded surface and it has possible enamel or niello inlay on one of its shoulders.
