A flint Lithic implement; a multi-function tool combining a borer and a knife, of uncertain date, probably early Mesolithic to late Neolithic date (10000 BC-2200 BC). It is formed on honey coloured flint with cortex on the right proximal dorsal face, and is patinated to naer white. It is an elongated, sub triangular curved shaped in plan with a point at the distal end, and is sub triangular in section. It is a secondary flake with invasive, scaled, low angle retouch on the right hand side of the dorsal face at the distal end. An abrupt removal across the point creates the borer. There is also evidence of very fine, short, low angle, sub-parallel retouch on the left side at the distal end which may have been used as a knife. The proximal end is a snapped edge. It is 39.1mm long x 13.7mm wide x 5.7mm thick. Weight 2.6g.
