A complete cast copper alloy Medieval bar mount. The mount has a large central lobe and two terminal lobes with circular rivets still present in both of them. The central lobe is decorated with an incised cross-hatched design. The reverse of the mount is slightly dished . The metal has a dark brownish-green patina. The mount is 16.8mm long, 8.2mm wide, 2.3mm thick and weighs 1.08g. Similar mounts can be seen in Egan; Dress Accessories p.214 and through ceramic association date to circa 1250-1400 AD.
