Copper alloy unidentified object. Flat circular plate with opposed projecting elements; one slightly expanded with a rounded end and the other possibly diminishing in its width, and lost from the point of a bend. One side bears the repeated legend: PATENT, a cushion crown motif and the letters GR, which may hint at the official issue of this object. The numerous articles of ammunition reported hereabouts might suggest this to be from a weapon. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1715-1830.
