An incomplete and very worn rectangular copper-alloy Medieval buckle plate of folded sheet type. Only the front plate survives, the remainder of the object is missing due to old breaks, now worn.
The plate is flat. The frame end is recessed to accommodate the frame and has a rectangular pin slot. The front face is decorated towards the frame end with two transverse grooves. There is a central circular rivet hole at the frame and attachment end. One still contains a separate copper-alloy rivet with a flattened round head.
This buckle measures 38.55mm in length, 10.35mm in width, 0.79mm in thickness, 1.53g in weight.
