Silver gilt Post-Medieval finger ring. The ring is formed of a board flat band that is flanked by a raised border in either edge consisting of three connective stepped bands. The band is decorated with a series of engraved diagonal lines intersected by three/four smaller lines on the top and bottom edges. Date: Late 16th century Early 17th century
Discussion: The ring is similar in style to SOM-5185A7 (2013) T71, SWYOR-F5ABF6 (2011) T613, SUR-126873 (2011 T293), GLO-19A336 (2007 T383), NMGW-9F38B2 (2007.16) and DOR-71A791 (2008 T407). These have been attributed a 16th - 17th century date.
