Probably Roman tin-coated copper alloy ring of triangular cross-section with an internal arris (i.e. the apex of the triangle) and a median groove around the outer face. Tinning remains on the two inner faces. External diameter 17mm. Internal diameter 13mm. Width of hoop 2.5mm. Mid 1st - 4th century.
