A cast copper-alloy buckle with incomplete chape dating c. 1660-1720.
The buckle has a rectangular double frame with three moulded projections thickening the outer frame at each end. An iron crossbar bears a sub-triangular chape made from copper-alloy sheet, and the wrap-around hinge of an iron pin remains corroded in place of the middle of the crossbar.
