An incomplete cast copper alloy rectangular buckle of the post-medieval period. The buckle has slightly bevelled edges to its frame, which has rounded corners and an integral strap bar. The pin is missing. The upper surface of the buckle is decorated with punched annulates and swirls, most of which retain the gilding that would have decorated the whole face of the buckle. The reverse is plain and undecorated. This style of buckle dates to c. AD 1600-1680.
