Large cast copper alloy stud dating from the medieval or post-medieval period, that is c. AD1200-1700. Even though the stud is complete and virtually undamaged it is difficult to date due to the lack of decoration and features. It has a plain domed/hemispherical head which still retains soil and a short, spiky pin with a square cross-section. The most likely date for this artefact seems to be broadly medieval or post-medieval.
